Proton has been active in the UK for many years, turning out reliable great-value cars, but because it is a relatively small company without a vast model range, it has remained very under-rated.
This was very apparent when I recently testied Proton’s Gen-2 Focus-sized hatckback. The car is nicely styled, quite elegant in fact, and friends guessed its price at about £13,000-£14,000. The range actually starts at £8,995 and even my Eco-Logic test model, with higher spec and LPG conversion is still just £10,995. Continue reading
